Welcome to Aroga

Eric Coppick BSc, CEP is an exercise physiologist and long-time coach in Victoria’s health and fitness community. With over 15 years of experience across more than 10 gyms, Eric has worked with a wide range of clients, from professional motorsports athletes and martial artists to military personnel and the general population. His background in exercise rehabilitation and injury management—shaped by both personal and professional experience—gives him a unique perspective of empathy and understanding. Eric’s training philosophy is grounded in an evidence-based, generalist approach to functional fitness, making exercise accessible, engaging, and effective for all.

At Aroga, his goal is to bring exercise to the forefront of medical prescription, empowering physicians to use movement as medicine and helping more people enjoy the quality of life that fitness provides. Outside of work, Eric enjoys martial arts, kettlebell training, swimming, yoga, golf, weightlifting, cycling, and hiking—and when not active, he can be found with his family or immersed in military history and science fiction.

Bridging the Gap: Exercise as Medicine

Many people understand the role of a Personal Trainer (fitness) or a Physiotherapist (acute injury), but the space in between—Chronic Disease Management—requires a specialized clinical approach.

As a Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP), I provide a level of physiological rigor that exceeds the standard gym setting. My practice is designed for individuals who require a higher degree of medical oversight due to underlying health conditions, as well as a robust practitioner license that allows me to work anywhere in Canada.
